We are a small, family business, offering quality second hand cars and car servicing and repairs in Farnham on the Surrey/Hampshire border. We pride ourselves on our service - offering good used cars at great prices and honest repairs.  

SALES: We don’t sell new cars, but we understand that they are new to you and we ensure they are in the best possible condition, no matter what your budget.  We want you to be pleased with your purchase.  Our cars come with long M.O.T.s, have been serviced if due (12 months or 10,000 miles), and have had cambelt services completed if needed (and if due soon then we will always advise you and carry out the work pre-collection if you wish). All cars also come with 12 months of parts at cost (zero profit!), trade rate labour, and, if eligible, the option to add the best warranty on the market at cost, including AA recovery (not that you should need it!).   Whatsmore, our onsite mechanics are here to help you take the best care of your vehicle thereafter if you'd like our help.  Acting with integrity is vital to us; our rule is that if we wouldn't sell a car to family then we won't sell it to anyone.  

SERVICING AND REPAIRS: If we are repairing and/or servicing your car, we will always be completely transparent and apply the same 'family' principle that we do to sales.  We'll only recommend completing work that we'd feel necessary if a member of our own family were driving the car; if your car is safe and running well we'll tell you of any issues that may be present, but we'll also explain when there is no pressing need for repair.  Additionally, if there is a cheaper solution that is appropriate (e.g. using a salvage part), we'll always share that with you.  Whether sales or repairs, it is a very simple principle - treat people how you would like a member of your own family to be treated.

We try to be pretty relaxed - if there is a particular car that interests you, just call to make an appointment and we'll be waiting for you with the kettle on, or if you need servicing or repairs please complete a form here and/or give us a call on 01252 214021.

We do understand that until you've met us we are strangers to you.  To help reassure you, we subscribe to the Motor Ombudsman Code of Practice.  This gives both independent verification of our standards of customer service  and the assurance that you will be treated fairly should any problem arise once you've bought your car.

Warranties

All eligible cars (those under 15 years of age and with a mileage of less that 120,000 miles) come with the option of purchasing a WarrantyWise warranty which includes full AA breakdown cover (courtesy car, onward travel, hotel expenses etc.).  We use WarrantyWise because they are the market leader and the only provider recommended by Auto Express.  Headed by Quentin Wilson (of Fifth Gear fame), of all providers WarrantyWise pays out on the highest proportion of claims.  Unlike many providers they do not reduce payment depending on the age of the car, nor do they charge any excess.  Furthermore, for cars under 10 years and 100,000 miles, unlike any other warranty provider that I've come across, their warranties include wear and tear!  These warranties cost more than those offered by most of our competitors, but are far superior and are a better deal for our customers.  If you would like to increase the length of the warranty to 24 or 36 months we can do so for the additional costs below. We provide these extended warranties at well under half the price than if you bought direct, making little or no profit on them, but they are a great deal for our customers.

6-month warranty with AA cover: £80 + VAT

Payment

Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer as we don't have wait for funds to clear or pay commission.  However, we accept card payments without charge (although unfortunately we cannot accept American Express or corporate cards) and unlike many of our competitors, we have no additional fees.  We will not charge you an admin fee to sell you a car!  The price asked is the price you pay - there are no hidden extras of any sort.  Conversely, please don't offer us cash for a reduced price because we won't accept; all of our cars go through the books and we pay taxes on all income.

Car Buying Service

If we don't have the car you're looking for...

If you let us know what you're looking for (make, model, engine size, colour etc.), we can find it for you via our sister company Quality Car Finder Ltd and usually at a better price than you'd find elsewhere. Depending on how specific your requirements are, we can often get you a car within a week, and sometimes even faster.  Sourcing a car can be cheaper than buying directly, but it does mean buying remotely (i.e. a test drive isn't possible prior to committing to purchase), so it isn't for everyone.  Please click below if you'd like to know more.

Viewings and test drives that come to you!

If you live or work locally (within 20 minutes of Fleet) and there is a car you are particularly interested in, we are happy to bring it to you in order for you to view/test drive it. 

We understand that many people are looking for a car because they don’t currently have transport, and we're happy to help out where possible. We can usually offer this service to fit in around customers’ lunch breaks at work if that helps. If you decide you want the car on the spot, once payment is made (by card or via bank tra nsfer) we are happy to leave it with you in return for a lift home or return taxi fare.
There is an initial £25 charge for my time (to deter time-wasters), but should you decide to purchase the vehicle this fee is deducted from the advertised price, meaning that if you are serious about buying the car it is in effect a free service.

Getting your car home

You've found the perfect car, now how are you going to get it home?

  • You can of course take your car home immediately, but if you need to come back we can hold the car for you for up to a week.
  • If need be, we are happy to deliver locally (within 20 minutes of GU10 5BB) in return for a lift home or the price of a taxi to get back. 
  • If you live more than twenty minutes away, but less than an hour, we can deliver for a flat fee of £100 (or £50 if you can give the driver a lift home). This covers my time, the expense of bringing a second car and driver to get me home, plus petrol expenses for the second car (note: your new car may also need some petrol for the journey, the cost of which would need to be added to the delivery charge). 
  • We can arrange delivery for further afield, with rates dependent on destination, but usually ranging from £100-£250. We make no profit on these deliveries and simply pass on our costs incurred.
